A massive thank you to everyone who grabbed a copy of The Winter Passing while the Kindle Deal was on and it was available for free – I really hope you enjoy it once you get stuck in to reading. Now – it’s time for reviews!
I wanted to write a quick post today about the importance of reader reviews – especially to independent authors like me, and independent publishers like Reckless Yes. For us book blogger reviews are great (and please get in touch if you’d like a copy for review) but reader reviews are what really help to spread the word and boost the effort we can put in to marketing and selling books.
So far reader reviews have been hugely positive about The Winter Passing and have pulled out what they love from the style of writing, the characters, and the story itself. Those posted across Amazon and Goodreads rate the novel as five stars and call it ‘stunning’, ‘spellbinding’, and ‘a must read’. Several look forward to reading more and getting back to the story in book two (sign up to the mailing list now for news on the second book in the House of Morrigan series).
Maybe you agree but want to call out your own favourite aspect, or maybe you don’t and want to bring your own view to the review party. Whatever you thought your view is definitely welcome, valid, and will help other readers decide if this is the book for them. And however many stars and whatever your thoughts I’ll be very grateful you took the time to review and help me on my writing journey.
Five quick ways to review and support The Winter Passing
Rate the book and leave a customer review on Amazon
You usually get an email from Amazon if you downloaded the eBook version prompting you or you can do it from the book listing page. Choose a star rating, leave a few words and you’re done – it can even be anonymous if you want!
Rate the book, review or add to your Goodreads shelves
Similar to above you mark the book as read in Goodreads and add a star rating with some (optional words). If you also add it to a bookshelf in your Goodreads profile this is even better.
Join the House of Morrigan mailing list
